Lawrence Joseph Ellison (born August 17, 1944) is an American representative, business visionary, and donor who is fellow benefactor, official administrator and boss innovation officer of Oracle Corporation. As of June 2018, he was recorded by Forbes magazine as the fifth-wealthiest individual in the United States and as the eighth-wealthiest on the planet, with a fortune of $54.5 billion.
Ellison was born in New York City and experienced childhood in Chicago. He learned at the University of Illinois at Urbana– Champaign and the University of Chicago without graduating before moving to California in 1966.
